Honda's Freed Orders Top 10,000 Units in 2 Weeks

Tokyo, June 13, 2008 (Jiji Press) - Honda Motor Corp. <7267> said Friday that cumulative orders for the Freed, its new 1,500-c.c. minivan, reached 10,000 units two weeks after its release on May 30.

The brisk initial sales are 2.5-fold more than the model's monthly sales target of 4,000 units.

Honda said the Freed has won popularity thanks to its large interior, compact body size, and the high-quality designs of both its interior and exterior.
