Mitsubishi Electric Introduces World's First Contactless Fingerprint Authentication Devices

"Mitsubishi Electric launched the Mitsubishi Finger Transmission Authentication Device, its proprietary contactless fingerprint authentication device, on September 8.

The new product, which adopts a method to detect changes in the amount of light transmitted through the finger tissue, can authenticate a fingerprint regardless of whether the fingers are dried or wet."
